The Mustang prototype will be joined later in the test programme by two production-standard aircraft, P1 and P2. P1 will be used primarily for
avionics systems development and certification, while P2 is to undergo function and reliability (F&R) tests, and post-certification "service"
tests.
Cessna received its FAA Production Certificate for the Mustang on November 23, 2006.
